Matthew Seaborn RECE, BA
Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree from York University and a diploma from the School of Early Childhood at George Brown College. Between his education and work experience, Matthew brings over 10 years of knowledge and skills to the program. He has extensive experience working in childcare environments, summer camps, Before and After School programs, and supporting students in academic enrichment organizations.
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and a recipient of the Dean’s Award from the School of Early Childhood at George Brown College, Matthew strives to create a warm and welcoming environment that is inclusive for children and families to engage in meaningful play experiences and shared communication. Matthew prides himself on being open and receptive to new experiences and suggestions, and he appreciates the feedback from others to help provide a diverse, equitable, and enriching learning experience for all.
Matthew’s background in english literature and his love of reading allows him to share in the joys of storytelling and the delight of imagination and wonder. Matthew is also excited to share his passion for gardening and outdoor exploration with each passing season. Matthew values the merit of play-based learning as part of the healthy development and growth of children and believes this is accomplished through community partnerships, reciprocity, and collaboration.
