FCS Teaching Together Workshops

Join us for a series of teaching-related workshops throughout the academic year, covering a range of topics that are relevant to the work of faculty and instructors.

These workshops are hosted by the FCS Dean's Office and were created with the intention of supporting new faculty members. However, the sessions can often be helpful for all faculty and instructors.

FCS Teaching Talks

FCS Teaching Talks are gatherings for colleagues to get together and connect in an informal and relaxed setting about how it’s going in the classroom.

These gatherings are typically offered monthly and are hosted by the FCS Learning & Teaching Committee and the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Studies, Students & Pedagogy.

All Teaching Talks will take place in SHE-697, the FCS Dean's Office boardroom, from noon to 1 p.m., on the following dates:

Black Scholarship Institute

For those interested in gathering with colleagues to talk specifically about anti-Black Racism (ABR) and teaching, the Black Scholarship Institute (BSI) offers opportunities to engage in ongoing discussions about ABR and how it affects teaching, learning and student outcomes.

The events and gatherings hosted by the BSI provide a welcoming space to generate ideas and initiatives, and to foster innovative research, teaching and advocacy to uplift Black communities.
