Janice Waddell Faculty and Staff Collegiality Award
Candidates are passionate, supportive, and have shown a dedicated concern for the wellbeing of others and the ability to create a positive work environment in the performance of their roles as a staff or a faculty member. They are dedicated to collegial relationships and to assisting others in the TMU community.
Faculty and staff in the Faculty of Community Services can submit a nomination. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominees must be staff or faculty members in the Faculty of Community Services
Nominees must have at least three years of experience within the Faculty of Community Services
Individuals who have received the award within the past three years are not eligible for nomination
Specifically, the nominee fosters a culture of collegiality through:
Collaboration: engages with colleagues to enhance and support professional development and overall well-being
Mentorship: dedication and generosity of spirit in building relationships and creating a sense of belonging
Support: shows respect to one another and demonstrates willingness to assume equitable responsibilities for achieving common purpose
Going “above and beyond”: this spirit is described in the nomination and support letters
- Obtain the nominee's permission.
- Complete the nomination package as described below.
- Submit the nomination package via the Online Nomination Portal.
- Nominee receives confirmation email with link to provide online consent before the deadline.
A completed nomination package includes:
A citation brief (max. 150 words) suitable for public release
A supporting statement (max. 2 pages) from the nominator which clearly outlines how the nominee’s involvement has met the award criteria
Two letters of support (max. 1 page each) that speak to the criteria of the award
