PIT fire alarm upgrades scheduled from Feb. 20 to Aug. 31, 2025
Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is upgrading the existing fire alarm system in Pitman Hall (PIT) to extend the longevity of the system and modernize components for better maintenance.
The work is set to begin Thursday, February 20, 2025 and will take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Sunday, August 31, 2025.
How this may impact you
From February to April, work will be conducted in the building’s mechanical room and electrical closets and will not impact residents. Work on the residence floors will begin in May 2025 after residents have vacated the building.
