Economics Minor
The objective of the Economics Minor is to offer students a coherent group of courses in the discipline of Economics. It will enable students from different professional programs to pursue Economics as a related area of study, and it will give both greater breadth and depth to the program of studies of those who choose it. The Economics Minor will provide formal recognition to those students who complete its requirements.
Calculus Requirement
Completion of the Economics Minor requires either ECN 301: Intermediate Macroeconomics I or ECN 504: Intermediate Microeconomics I, both of which include a calculus course as a pre-requisite, namely one of the following courses: ECN 189 or QMS 130 or QMS 702 or MTH 131 or MTH 140 or MTH 207 or MTH 310. Students lacking one of these courses should consider ECN 189, which counts towards the Economics Minor.
