Continuing Education Certificate Restrictions
- CE certificates cannot be pursued, in combination with an undergraduate degree program, where the course content is identical, or too similar, to the content of the degree program course requirements. Please see the chart below for details.
- Registration into and graduation with a certificate is subject to rules and regulations .
- Undergraduate students enrolled in a program with an 'undeclared' major who are interested in also pursuing the completion of a certificate must first declare their degree program Plan (known as your 'major') e.g if you are a student in Bachelor of Arts (Undeclared) or, Bachelor of Science (Undeclared) or, Bachelor of Commerce Business Management (Undeclared) etc.
- Please note that courses completed to satisfy certificate requirements will not necessarily also count towards fulfilling your degree requirements as well and vice versa. Please review the regulations (opens in new window) for detailed information.
Go to the Courses and Programs FAQ (opens in new window) section for details regarding CE certificates.
