Undergraduate Tuition and Fees
Fall 2024 / Winter 2025 / Spring 2025
Fees for undergraduate course enrolments include tuition and ancillary fees:
- Tuition fees cover instructional and academic program costs and general operating costs of the university
- Ancillary fees support programs, services and facilities outside of academic programming. For example, support services, athletics, clubs, unions and more
Accessing Fees in MyServiceHub
Tuition and fees will be posted on your MyServiceHub student account in late July for the fall term and early October for the winter term.
Your fees are assessed based on the billing units for your course enrolment and your course intentions. Because of this, they may change if your course enrolments or intentions are adjusted. Other factors that will determine your fees include:
- Program
- Course load
- Full-time or part-time
- Ontario, Out-of-province, International
Please check the tables below to find the fee rates for each program. You can also confirm your fees by completing an account inquiry on MyServiceHub.
Visit Fee Rates for information on fee rate eligibility and instructions on how to change your fee category.
Billing Units:
Billing units are determined based on the number of contact hours, and other components assigned to each course, including lectures, practical training, research and laboratory work (some exceptions apply).
- Courses between 0.01 to 6.00 hours = 1 billing unit
- Courses between 6.01 to 12.00 hours = 2 billing units
- Course greater than 12.01 hours = 3 billing units
Billing units that are not exact numbers will be rounded up when fees are assessed.
Every effort is made to ensure that published fee information is accurate and up-to-date. On the rare occasion that an error is identified, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) reserves the right to modify or correct information without notice.
Health Plan Opt Out
The TMSU Health and Dental Plan (external link, opens in new window) is assessed for all full-time undergraduate students. The TMAPS Health and Dental Plan (external link, opens in new window) is assessed for all part-time undergraduate students.
If you have alternative health coverage, you may opt out directly with TMSU or TMAPS by the applicable deadlines.
Full-Time Students
Full-time undergraduate fees are assessed based on billing units. You are considered a full-time student if you are enrolled in a minimum of 4.0 billing units each term.
Please note that the fees provided in the following tables are based on a 5.00-7.00 full-time undergraduate billing unit course load in both fall and winter terms. Students registered in 5.00-7.00 undergraduate billing units (Continuing Education courses excluded) are assessed one set fee.
Full-Time undergraduate students registered in Continuing Education courses are assessed the Continuing Education course fee.
Part-Time Students
Part-time undergraduate students are assessed fees per billing unit. Any Continuing Education courses are assessed the unit fee, not the Continuing Education course fee.
