SUMMARY
OUR GRAPHIC NOVEL ADAPTATION OF LA CELESTINA
aims to offer the reader a more complete and immersive experience of one of the most representative works in Spanish literature, taking into account the history of the book itself. The adaptation will not only show the text in question but also the context in which it was created and consumed since it was first released to the press. Books, like people, are subject to the whims of history and its circumstances. With this adaptation project, we will show you how we imagine this journey. Everything is based on historical data and literary studies from the five hundred year long journey during which this book has been seducing the reading public.
Taking this into consideration, our edition, La Celestina: A Graphic Novel will contribute to filling a gap in editorial history and reception of one of the most read, imitated, and translated works in Spanish literature.
