Likewise, when returning to your academic semesters, you will also apply what you’ve learned on your co-op work terms to your courses.

What is the Co-op Prep Program?

The Co-op Prep Program is a unique, experiential-based program which helps you build skills and career readiness as you start your first co-op work term. 

Prior to starting your first work term, you will complete five professional development modules:

Gain a strong foundation for your co-op experience through an overview of the program, including valuable insights to help you navigate the journey ahead and essential tools for success.

  • Empower Me @ Work
  • Microaggressions

In partnership with the Ted Rogers Careers team, you will work to understand your unique combination of strengths. Learn how awareness of strengths and interests will open doors to different career pathways, guiding you to uncover opportunities aligned with your personal and professional goals.

Topics include:

  • Career Discovery Workshop

Put your best foot forward by building and refining your personal brand, and learning how to confidently showcase yourself to employers. You’ll craft standout job application materials, sharpen your interview skills, and get hands-on with tools to boost your technical toolkit.

  • Power of Excel Bootcamp - Level 1-3 
  • Lumina Fundamentals & Workshop
  • Resume and Cover Letter
  • LinkedIn/Networking
  • Preparing for the Interview

Introducing Co-op Connect, where new Ted Rogers Co-op students are seamlessly matched with experienced Senior Co-op Mentors in an exclusive peer mentorship program*.

Mentees and Mentors are invited to exclusive events, plus our Senior Co-op Mentors enjoy additional mentorship opportunities from our esteemed Ted Rogers Alumni.
