Cynthia Holmes
Dr. Cynthia Holmes was appointed Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management in May 2023.
Prior to being appointing Dean, she was Associate Dean, Faculty and Academic. She is the founding Chair of the Real Estate Management Department at the school and teaches real estate management courses at the undergraduate and master’s level. Her research area is real estate finance and housing economics.
Before joining Toronto Metropolitan University, she held academic positions at the Schulich School of Business at York University and at Florida State University. She has ten years of industry experience with Standard Life Assurance Company, including several years in the Mortgage Investment department. Dr. Holmes holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation and is a member of the Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo. She has performed a wide set of media appearances and speaking engagements as a Canadian housing market expert.
Dr. Holmes is on a mission to give students a rich university experience through an excellent curriculum and experiential learning opportunities.
