Accreditations

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

AACSB accreditation (external link)  represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. The AACSB provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.

AACSB accreditation ensures the Ted Rogers School of Management is teaching students what employers need, including the latest ideas in business, theories and practical skills. Our school received AACSB accreditation in 2011.

Only 7 percent of the world’s 13,000 business programs have earned AACSB accreditation; the Ted Rogers School is one of only 11 business programs in Ontario that is accredited.

What does AACSB Accreditation mean for you?

AACSB accreditation elevates the Ted Rogers School to an international league of business management schools, creating enhanced opportunities for faculty and students.

The quality of faculty, ground-breaking research, and strong emphasis placed on academic success produce career-ready graduates who have a clear advantage over graduates of other business schools.

Accredited as a SMART+ Program by Tourism HR Canada

The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is proud to be Canada’s first post-secondary university program to achieve SMART + Program accreditation. Our program became the first to receive this national recognition for demonstrating tourism-related programming that exceeds industry standards as envisioned in the accredited SMART+ Program.

The accredited SMART+ Program aims to provide an opportunity for post-secondary public or private institutions and corporate training providers to demonstrate that their programming meets or exceeds industry standards, but also provides benchmarks that tourism educators can use to assist them in continually improving their programs. This honour has been conferred by Tourism HR Canada; a national organization working for the tourism sector in Canada, an $88.5 billion industry employing over 1.7 million people including over 500,000 youth.
