What is Research Security?

Research security refers to the ability to identify possible risks to your work through unwanted access, interference or theft and the measures that can be taken to minimize these risks and protect the inputs, processes and products that are part of scientific research and discovery.

Research security is the responsibility of all members of the TMU research community, regardless of discipline. The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation offers a wide range of resources to help you protect your work, those involved in your work and those who your work impacts.
