Welcome to PBSC at Lincoln Alexander!
Pro Bono Students Canada
Pro Bono students Canada (PBSC) (external link, opens in new window) envisions a society with accessible legal systems, where the dignity and rights of every person are upheld. Our mission is to provide free legal support to people and communities facing legal barriers to justice.
We do this by engaging 1,500 law students annually across 22 law schools to support community organizations, under the supervision of lawyers. We cultivate future leaders to tackle the most pressing social justice issues of our time.
PBSC at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law
PBSC launched at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law in 2021. We provide voluntary legal support across the Greater Toronto Area and rural communities in Ontario that have historically experienced a lack of service. Our focus on technology places us in a position to support communities outside of the immediate vicinity of the law school, which will increase the impact and reach of PBSC projects.
Students will engage in legal research and writing, public legal education, and/or client services work. For more information on our active projects, please visit our Projects page (external link, opens in new window) .
