Mehrunnisa Ali
Mehrunnisa Ali is professor in the Faculty of Community Services, where she teaches in the graduate programs in Early Childhood Studies, Immigration and Settlement Studies, and Policy Studies. She has an MA in Teaching and Learning from Harvard University and a PhD in Teaching, Curriculum and Social Policy from Michigan State University, with a concentration in Teacher Education. Mehrunnisa has extensive experience in developing and evaluating educational projects, especially in teacher education ad will contribute expertise in immigrant children, youth and families, qualitative methods, and ethical issues in researching refugee populations. She is currently the Project Director of Decentering Migration Knowledge: DemiKNOW, also funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
