Johana Navarrete-Suárez
Johana Navarrete-Suárez is a postdoctoral researcher at the Seminar Migration, Inequality, and Public Policies (MIGDEP). She holds a PhD in Population Studies and a MSc in Demography (El Colegio de México), a specialization in Public Policy Analysis and a BSc in Political Science (Universidad Nacional de Colombia). Her research interests encompass international migration, forced internal migration, ethnic identities and diversity in migration, processes of racialization, and inequality. Her work has appeared in journals such as Population Research and Policy Review and Revista Latinoamericana de Población, as well as in various book chapters and research reports. Her postdoctoral project aims to enrich discussions on the nexus between migratory irregularity and the conditions of inequality among immigrant populations in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM).
