Indigenous Employee Services
With access to services specifically for Indigenous employees who are First Nations, Inuit and Métis, the university is working to reduce systemic barriers and increase representation of Indigenous peoples among faculty and staff.
- The Indigenous Wellbeing and Cultural Practice Leave is available to eligible Indigenous staff from Canada to take up to five paid days per year to support healing and wellbeing, including cultivating cultural interests and practices in whatever ways they choose.
- TMU’s Indigenous Human Resources Lead is available to candidates thinking of applying, faculty and staff looking for support settling in, or leaders looking to hire Indigenous faculty and staff.
- The First Nations, Métis and Inuit Community Group is for faculty, instructors and staff from across the university to come together to learn and support each other and provide input on different types of support, community socials, speakers and activities.
