The Power Up Program
The Power Up Program is a summer internship initative designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the clean energy sector. Through this paid internship program, students are placed with Clean Energy Zone (CEZ) startups, where they gain real-world exposure to entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development. Interns contribute to projects while learning core aspects of entrepreneurship. The Power Up Program equips students with leadership experience, business acumen, and communication skills to help them succeed in the clean energy industry. TMU students with a passion for sustainability and innovation are encouraged to apply.

How it Works
March: Submit an Application
- Open to all TMU students with a passion for clean energy.
April: Cohort Selection & Orientation
- Our team will review applications and reach out for interviews.
May - August: Dynamic Learning Experience
- Engage in structured learning experience, covering key topics such as customer discovery, business model development, pitching, and more.
- Get paired with a CEZ company to work on a project.
Beyond August: Networking and Future Opportunities
- Receive ongoing support from CEZ.
- Connect with a growing community of alumni and industry mentors.
- Full-time student enrolled at Toronto Metropolitan University
- Able to attend in-person events in Toronto, ON
- Are legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
International students are eligible and encouraged to apply.
We offer free access to our co-working office and workspace, equipped with wi-fi, and coffee & tea in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Programming will be in-person at the Centre for Urban Innovation, 44 Gerrard St E, Toronto.
