Incident details
Toronto Police Service informed TMU Security of an individual brandishing an axe. Toronto Police Service located the individual off campus and arrested them.

Note: TMU Safe notified the community of the incident and provided status updates while the individual was near campus. TMU Safe is the university’s tool for mass notification that will send alerts in urgent situations that pose an immediate safety or security risk to the community.
Description information
The individual was described as male, with a light complexion and approximately 30 to 40 years old. They had short dark brown hair. They were wearing black headphones, black t-shirt, grey pants and white sneakers.
