Student VPN required to access and modify stw.ryerson.ca websites as of December 22

Starting December 22, 2021, a new security measure will be introduced to the stw.ryerson.ca or author.ryerson.ca web server. This change will require students to use the university’s student virtual private network (VPN) when logging in to stw.ryerson.ca from outside of campus.

What will you need to do?

If you still maintain a personal website on the stw.ryerson.ca or author.ryerson.ca web server, and intend to access or modify your page from off-campus, please:

  1. Set up access to the student VPN before December 22, 2021; and
  2. Be sure to log in to student VPN prior to logging in to stw.ryerson.ca.

Please note that you must log in to your VPN account before logging in to the stw.ryerson.ca site, every time. Without VPN enabled, you will not be able to log in to stw.ryerson.ca.
