Social Justice and Mental Health

This course uses a critical social justice lens to explore mental health, wellbeing, and the ways that experiences of identity, connection, and resurgence are shaped by social and climate contexts. It prepares students to work interprofessionally to support children, youth and adults in the community. The course engages a holistic understanding of mental health and wellbeing, addressing inequity, power, and privilege including the impacts of racism and gender-based inequity on the wellbeing of individuals and communities.
