Women, War, and Peace

This course examines the gendered dimensions of international security, focusing on the roles and experiences of women in armed conflict, terrorism, and in peace movements. With this emphasis, it will examine peace-building and attempts to regulate conflict at the local, regional, and international levels, including the recent landmark United Nations Security Council resolutions and the resulting Women, Peace, and Security agenda.
