Celebrating the power of the Black community at the university
Black Excellence initiatives at TMU are centered around celebrating the power, achievements and successes of the Black community. This initiative aims to create opportunities for Black students, faculty and staff to authentically share space, and to redefine the meaning of community at our university.
Cross-campus collaboration
The Black Excellence Committee is a collaboration between the Presidential Implementation Committee to Confront Anti-Black Racism; Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion; Office of the Vice-Provost, Students (Tri-Mentoring Program and Student Life Programs); and Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (Talent Management Centre of Expertise).
