Personal Safety Planning Sessions

Two members of the Community Engagement Team discuss personal safety planning with two students.

Community Safety and Security at TMU works to support personal safety through the provision of awareness building, prevention, intervention, and response. We can support you through personal safety planning sessions to address any of the following topics:

  • general safety planning as a proactive approach
  • specific safety planning as a reaction to a particular incident
  • safety while traveling or commuting
  • safety while on campus, including while working alone
  • safety of personal property and anti-theft

We recognize that every situation is different and every individual seeking support requires a unique and personalized approach. If you are interested in developing a situation-specific safety plan, we can help. These sessions will prioritize your personal safety and provide you with scenario-based guidance, tools and resources so you can make informed decisions.
