Health Equity and Accessibility
Key to health equity and wellbeing is the need for participatory health engagements driven by institutional health care providers along with target communities that often have difficulty accessing health systems (such as migrants, people with disability, people living with addictions or violence).
Aim and Approach
Based on evidence that innovative participatory community action research methodologies advance health equity approaches toward community empowerment, this stream will create and embed participatory actions, created by both community and health care providers. The Community Methodologies Lab, the IDEA Research Advisory Group, and the HECW organizations and research participants will guide the research projects and outputs in this area.
