Professional Development

The Excellence in Teaching Program (ETP), is designed to provide faculty with opportunities to enhance the impact of their teaching, and participate in a community of educators committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to: 

• Design/redesign courses and learning experiences that motivate students, reduce accommodations, and minimize academic misconduct;
  
• Collaborate with colleagues and Centre staff to implement and evaluate pedagogical strategies that are student-centred and demonstrate teaching effectiveness;
• Receive recognition for professional development in teaching that is relevant to faculty at different career stages and during the tenure and promotion process;
• Participate in a supportive community of educators and mentors.
