Digital Creativity
Description
Toronto Metropolitan University’s Department of Architectural Science partners with the Department of Athletics & Recreation to host this one-week program introducing campers to the world of graphic design.
Over the five days, campers learn the fundamentals of 2D graphics software such Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator through a range of creative projects, and each camper gets to keep their projects at the end of their camp week.
Camp days comprise an even balance of Digital Creativity programming and physically active Camp games, so your camper goes home each day having nurtured both their body and brain. Camp games take place throughout the TMU gyms, studios and on the Quad.
Campers learn the fundamentals of 2D graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, through a range of creative projects, including:
- Photo editing and creating montages
- Vector illustration and graphic design
- Digital publishing
- Layout poster design
- Laser cutting and raster burning
The curriculum for Architecture Camp is developed by Prof. Vince Hui, who is a past recipient of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teacher Award (external link) .
