Directing for the Stage

An integrated, practical approach to the process of directing for the stage, with an emphasis on cultivating an empathetic and informed approach with collaborators. Through lecture, discussion, assignments, and in-class exercises, students develop an appreciation for the role directors play in facilitating the work of the team. Students will learn and practise the various languages, techniques, and strategies that directors use to realise a dramatic concept and inspire the team around them.
