Advanced Playwriting

This course advances the foundations of playwriting and deepens students' understanding of dramatic structure, form, plot, world-building, action, dialogue, characterization, and theme. Writing is shared in class to sharpen the development of individual voice and style. Individual practices of writing are strengthened through the development and editing of the first draft of a play.
