Introduction to Midwifery

This course provides an introduction to the profession of midwifery and the experiences of pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. Students will develop an understanding of the model of midwifery in Ontario and internationally and begin to develop interpersonal and communication skills for clinical practice. Students will have the opportunity to learn about pregnant people's lived experiences.
