Degree: In the regular program: eight four-month academic terms of study following Grade 12 U/M graduation. In the optional co-op program: eight four-month academic terms of study and five four-month work terms following Grade 12 U/M graduation. The sequence of the academic and work terms for the co-op program is shown in the curriculum sections that follow.
Admission: O.S.S.D. with six Grade 12 U/M courses, including Grade 12 U courses in: English, Advanced Functions (MHF4U), two of Biology (SBI4U) or Chemistry (SCH4U) or Physics (SPH4U).
Notes:- ENG4U/EAE4U is the preferred English.
- The grade(s) required in the subject prerequisites (normally in the 65-70 percent range) will be determined subject to competition.
- Completion of all three science courses is recommended.
- Subject to competition, candidates may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum.

Please note: The Contemporary Science program will admit the final cohort of students in Fall 2014. The program curriculum will continue to be available to all active, continuing program students. Further information regarding the phase-out of the program may be obtained from the First Year and Common Science Office.
