Given changes to Ryerson program curriculum from year to year, out-of-phase students who are still within their allotted time span, may not be subject to the curriculum requirements presented in the CURRENT Calendar. Students are required to complete the curriculum for the years they attended from first approval, unless stated otherwise.
For example, students first approved in Fall 2011, must complete all first year courses listed in the 2011-2012 Calendar and all courses listed in the 2012-2013 calendar for second year, etc. , like this:
Semester 1-2 |
Fall 2011-Winter 2012 Calendar |
Semester 3-4 |
Fall 2012-Winter 2013 Calendar |
Semester 5-4 |
Fall 2013-Winter 2014 Calendar |
Semester 7-8 |
Fall 2014-Winter 2015 Calendar |
Students are responsible to ensure that all other graduation requirements are met.
Students that have exceeded their time span, may be considered for re-admission into the CURRENT curriculum based on the following principles, including but not limited to:
- Major curricular change within a program
- Degree designation change (ex, from a Bachelor of Arts to a Bachelor of Commerce)
- Number and availability of courses that remain to be completed from the original program
