The Learning and Teaching Office (LTO) was established in 1993 to provide professional development and face-to-face and on-line resources to faculty. The focus of the LTO is education development at the local Faculty level and at the Central university level. The LTO engages in program development for faculty and works with a number of committees related to teaching and learning across the university and beyond.

The Learning and Teaching Office team includes a full-time director, a full-time program coordinator, faculty associates and representatives from The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, the Library, and the Digital Media Projects Office. The Office reports to Dr. Michael Dewson, Vice Provost, Faculty Affairs. The Office is located in Kerr Hall West, 379 Victoria Street, Room 373. The website is www.ryerson.ca/lt
