OAKHAM HOUSE SOCIETIES

Oakham House - now a part of the new Ryerson Student Campus Centre - is home to a number of Oakham Societies. The goal of these Societies is to encourage the social and culture growth of the Ryerson community, by providing activities for students, staff, faculty, and alumni to participate in. Unlike other student groups on campus, Oakham House Societies are open to all members of the Ryerson community.

Oakham House Adventure Club
Founded 2002, the Adventure Society has shared their love of the outdoors with the rest of the Ryerson Community. Offering numerous opportunities for involvement, we organize a variety of events throughout the year to encourage outdoor exploration, education and leadership development. Events are always planned to cater both the beginner looking to try something new, and the seasoned outdoor enthusiast aspiring to taking on new heights. Our group ensures that we keep all our trips student priced for student budgets.

Oakham House Choir
Offers members of the Ryerson Community (and the general public) the opportunity to sing a great choral repertoire in one major concert each semester. The unique cultural experience of performing with a professional conductor, orchestra and soloists is usually restricted to professional or semi-professional trained voices, but without compromising standards of performance, the Oakham House Choir is open to amateur singers of moderate talents.
