Academic Computing Labs
Ryerson has an academic computing environment with advanced hardware, software, and support services. Instructional and research computing services are provided to faculty and students through Ryerson's IT server complex. CCS operates:
- four general-purpose teaching and drop-in computer labs (KHW 71C, KHW 377, KHW 379 and LIB 393). Access to these labs is open to students when it is not in use by a course.
- three general-purpose drop-in only labs (KHW 71, KHW 71F and LIB 386L)
- other general purpose drop-in systems are dispersed throughout the Library on floors 5 to 10
- two specialized labs (KHW 71B and KHW 71C). Aerospace Engineering, Applied Geography, Image Arts, Computer Science, Urban and Regional Planning, the Rogers Centre/CE Hands-On Internet series, Radio and Television, and Electronic Communications and the Media summer workshop series use the Distributed Computing Network lab located in KHW 71B. KHW 71A is a multimedia lab.
Ryerson's Wireless
Ryerson's Wireless program provides wireless network connectivity for students with laptops. All large student lounges, cafeterias, the Library and the Quad green space are wireless with more coverage being added throughout the year. The Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management also uses Ryerson's wireless technology with their laptop program. Information on the Ryerson Wireless program is available at: www.ryerson.ca/ccs/connecting/oncampus/wireless.
my.ryerson portal

This tool fosters communication and collaboration as a means to enhance course material. The my.ryerson portal is web-based, and is available at: https://my.ryerson.ca
Virtual Applications

Using Virtual Applications, you can access applications without having them installed on your computer's local hard drive. Virtual Applications is available at https://vapps.ryerson.ca
Campus Printing Services (CPS)
CPS allows wireless users and KHW 71B computer lab users to print documents in the most commonly used file formats, to selected printers on campus. There is no need to install any print drivers in order to use this service because it is web based. The documents are uploaded and printed via the web browser to one of the computer lab printers.
CPS is available at: https://cps.ryerson.ca.
