What does it mean to be a Black TMU grad?

To me, being a Black TMU graduate is special. It means I am proving to other little Black and Mixed-Race girls and boys that they too can graduate from university and leave their name in the history of Toronto Metropolitan University.

What advice do you have for other Black students at TMU?

There may not always be opportunities made for Black students but don't be afraid to make your name known, take advantage of as many opportunities as you can and celebrate your differences.
