
Janice Appiah
Janice Appiah began her studies in Child and Youth Care at Sheridan College in 2017 while she was five months pregnant and raising a one-year-old. Despite her personal limitations, she graduated (with honors) with her class and continued to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care in 2020. She has gained experience in the field in different capacities and will be returning to Toronto Met in fall 2022 to complete her Master of Arts.
Janice Appiah is a Child and Youth Care Practitioner currently supporting girls aged 16-24 with life skills development. She will be pursuing her Master of Arts in Child and Youth Care in fall 2022. She also supports work as a research assistant investigating young mothers and their involvement with the child welfare system. She is passionate about advocacy and support for young, Black women.
