What does it mean to be a Black TMU grad?

To me, being a Black TMU Grad means that I overcame the odds. As a first generation student with no family in my field of study, it's been a long road to graduation. I definitely wouldn't be where I am without the love and support of my parents, friends and partner.

What advice do you have for other Black students at TMU?

My advice for other Black students at TMU would be to keep your head up, never compromise your beliefs, and ask for help when you need it. You will face many challenges throughout your studies but with a strong support network and even stronger willpower you can overcome them with poise, grace and humility.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

The past two years have been extremely difficult and filled with uncertainty. After I graduate, I plan to take some time to rest and recharge before starting my career in engineering. Once I've recharged, I plan to use my boundless passion to curate a career that is challenging, fulfilling and inspires personal growth.
