What does it mean to be a Black Ryerson grad?
To be a Black Ryerson grad is to embody a storied tradition of excellence and perseverance. It is working twice as hard for half as much, with the knowledge that you must kick down doors that will be wide open for others. It is smiling through your pain and failures, with the dream that, one day, you will turn them into your successes. It is winning in a game you were never supposed to play in, when everyone counted you out. It is special, and I am proud.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
After graduation, I will be pursuing a law degree at the University of Toronto, with a focus on intellectual property, as well as hopefully establishing a scholarship fund for marginalized students.
What advice do you have for other Black Ryerson students?
Continue to pursue your dreams and your passions - when in doubt, bet on yourself.
