What does it mean to be a Black Ryerson grad?

As an international student, to be a Black Ryerson grad fills me with joy. My success is not only a reflection of myself, but also of everyone who has supported me throughout my academic career and my entire life. I am forever grateful.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I am currently searching for job opportunities to satisfy the requirements necessary to apply for permanent residency. Once I have gained permanent residency, I plan to continue my studies by enrolling in a Master's program.

What advice do you have for other Black Ryerson students?

I would strongly advise Black students to get involved on campus. Yes there may be times when you will be uncomfortable, but our voice is needed in decisions made at Ryerson and in society by extension. Decisions about us can no longer be made without us, representation is everything.
