Celebrating the power of the Black community at the university

Black Excellence initiatives at TMU are centered around celebrating the power, achievements and successes of the Black community. This initiative aims to create opportunities for Black students, faculty and staff to authentically share space, and to redefine the meaning of community at our university.

Cross-campus collaboration

The Black Excellence Committee is a cross-campus collaboration of volunteers who host and lead Black-centred initiatives that promote belonging, intergenerational community-building and celebration of the achievements of Black students on campus.
