Wikipedia uses the concept �simulated reality� when referring to Tron and explains that �Simulated reality is the proposition that reality could be simulated�often computer simulated�to a degree indistinguishable from 'true' reality. It could contain conscious minds which may or may not know that they are living inside a simulation. In its strongest form, the "simulation hypothesis" claims we actually are living in such a simulation.� Other films associated with simulated reality include The Truman Show (1998), The Matrix Trilogy (1999, 2003, 2003), and Vanilla Sky (2001).
