Brampton Venture Zone by TMU is a proud recipient of the 2023 Toronto Pearson Uplift Fund!

BRAMPTON (March 8th, 2024) - Exciting news at the Brampton Venture Zone by TMU! We are thrilled to share that we have been named one of the recipients of the 2023 Uplift Fund (external link)  by Toronto Pearson for the BReady Talent Platform, a virtual marketplace connecting talent with employers hiring for business and tech roles in the Peel Region. 

The 2023 Uplift Fund provided a total of $770,000 in funding for nine organizations to support projects that will provide job seeker support, enhance employer engagement practices, and provide holistic employment programming. We are grateful to receive this support from Toronto Pearson as it will enable us to grow the BReady Talent Platform within the Peel Region to advance workforce development in Brampton and Mississauga. 

Presented by Brampton Venture Zone by TMU and the Brampton Board of Trade (external link) , the BReady Talent Platform focuses on offering meaningful full-time jobs to new immigrants, recent graduates, and individuals from racialized communities. The platform utilizes an advanced skills parsing search function to match open job roles with the most suitable candidates, allowing the talent to job hunt passively and the employers to save time, money, and valuable HR resources. 

With the support of Toronto Pearson, we will be able to support more job seekers to gain meaningful full-time employment.
