Angelina Almanza

Going into her last year at Toronto Metropolitan Univeristy, Angelina is a New Media artist currently finishing a BFA at the school’s New Media Undergraduate BFA program. Brought onto the project for the purpose of designing and physically fabricating the tables based on a set of requested specification, her works primarily focus on the intersection of art and technology for the creation of immersive experiences.

Project Description

CAT 6

Initially created for the TMU community, the CAT 6 is a Community Arcade Table allowing the playing and playtesting of student made video games. Through utilizing a custom interface users will interact with the table, select from an open library of in development games, and play together using arcade-like controls - allowing game developers to collect the user data that is hard to get as a student; while also gathering the community in support of creative projects The Creative School strives to make.
