About the Program

Momentum is an exclusive 2-month in-person program designed to propel ideation stage startups to new heights. Offering personalized support tailored to each venture’s unique needs, Momentum provides access to workshops, essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

This program is ideal for those who are newly embarking on their entrepreneurial journey and are seeking support in actualizing their innovation. Haven't yet identified what your solution to the problem is? No worries. Momentum provides support during this exploration and discovery phase to help you develop a solution that is backed by evidence. 

Accelerate your startup's momentum towards success

This cohort is facilitated in partnership between the Science Discovery Zone (opens in new window)  (SDZ) and the Fashion Zone (opens in new window)  (FZ) at TMU. Through this interdisciplinary approach to entrepreneurship, Momentum brings together a unique scope of industry expertise, startup support, and market connections. Participants in the program can receive one-on-one support from either (or both) the SDZ or FZ.

This 8 week program will cover the following:

  • How to identify a problem to solve
  • The buisness model canvas & how to use it
  • Customer and market segmentation
  • Discovering and crafting your unique value
  • Competitor and market analysis
  • Addressing assumptions and using evidence-informed approaches
  • How to craft & deliver a successful pitch

This program runs from May 13 - June 26, 2025 with weekly sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5pm
