The Monstrous and Immortal Armor
Vanessa produced a series of silver jewelry pieces living within sculptural displays created from metal and acrylic experimentations. This project reflects on the transformative violence found in the feminist horror genre, looking to the work of Elaine Scarry (1987) who describes "pain as a weapon" that destructs our bodies.
