Experimental Track

crtcl Crafting is the exploration of low-intensive manufacturing methods by utilizing biotechnology to create consumer-based materials and public-facing installations to communicate research processes. This is done by focusing on small scale prototype creation in speculative manufacturing in collaboration with practitioners and scientific protocols in the commons. Gabo and Yatsuk have a proven track record in developing experimental, technically sound, and critically-engaged bio-design projects. Ananda is currently working on developing a local repository for microbial-based dyes for localized distribution and skills sharing with the DFZ.
