Toronto Met Awards Gala
Toronto Met Awards Gala, hosted on behalf of Human Resources, is a high-profile recognition event that brings TMU’s leadership together to celebrate the accomplishments of our staff and faculty members and long service milestone recipients. Held in the Varsity Court of the Mattamy Athletic Centre, our dinner reception and awards presentation is a highlight of the academic year.
Convocation
TMU’s convocation ceremonies are a key milestone in a student’s academic career - an achievement worth celebrating on a grand stage in the Mattamy Athletic Centre. The university’s senior leadership, faculty and staff come together to celebrate the accomplishments of our students.
For more information on upcoming convocation ceremonies, please visit our TMU Convocation website.
Pow Wow
TMU’s student-led Pow Wow is a traditional Indigenous gathering that brings together all members of the campus community for a day of traditional dancing and celebration of Indigenous culture. We are proud to engage with the student community to host this annual event, after being the first Toronto university to host a Pow Wow, back in 1997.
Remembrance Day
TMU’s Remembrance Day ceremony takes place every November, honouring lives lost due to acts of war and creating a respectful space for all those who have been impacted by global conflict in the TMU community.
TMU Frost Holiday Festival
In the President’s final send-off of the calendar year, our campus community comes together to celebrate the end of the fall semester and decompress before the exam season. Open to students, faculty and staff, there is food, entertainment, ice skating and winter fun before we depart for the winter break.
