Whether you've studied in Canada or abroad, remember to activate your online identity before applying for transfer credits at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)!

Studies in Canada

Ontario students

If you've studied at an Ontario post-secondary school and you've applied for admission to TMU, you can check for transfer credits now. You don't have to wait for an Offer of Admission.

We maintain a database of transfer credit equivalencies from accredited institutions in Ontario and across Canada. Use our online application to see how your courses will transfer. Our database isn’t comprehensive, but it can be used as a guide to transfer credits.

If you’ve applied for admission to a program, submit a Transfer Credit Application by logging in to MyServiceHub (visit the how to apply page for instructions). You’ll be able to check if your previous courses match equivalent courses at TMU.

If your courses haven't been evaluated for transfer credit, you’ll need to upload a detailed course outline. In this case, the evaluation of your courses can only be done after you accept an Offer of Admission.

Haven’t applied for admission yet?

No problem! Visit the ONTransfer (external link, opens in new window)  website to find the transfer credits you may be eligible for. The list provided on ONTransfer is not comprehensive but is a guide.

Out-of-province students

If you’ve studied at a Canadian college or university and applied to TMU, you can check our database to find out if your courses have recently been approved for transfer credits.

Access our database by submitting a Transfer Credit Application (visit the how to apply page for instructions).  While our database isn’t comprehensive, it’s a useful guide. A course outline isn’t needed if a transfer credit equivalency is in our database.

Pathway programs

We’re pleased to offer formal pathways for university and college transfer students. Admission is generally to a level above first year/semester and varies by program. If you’re admitted to one of our pathway programs, we’ll recognize your previous studies at the time of admission. You may be able to apply for even more credit.

Studies outside of Canada

Apply for transfer credits for courses completed at any accredited post-secondary school in the world. To begin, you’ll need to accept an Offer of Admission in order for us to assess your courses for transfer credits.

You’ll also need to upload detailed course outlines. Refer to document requirements for more information.
