In a standout class of FPN 631: Cinematography and Lighting Design II, IMA instructor Philip LeMoyne welcomed acclaimed cinematographer Paul Sarossy—member of the American Society of Cinematographers and longtime collaborator of Atom Egoyan—for a hands-on workshop unlike any other. Taking place in the Image Arts soundstage, the session focused on lighting for the time of day in a fully built house set to give students an industry-level experience. Using Arri cinema cameras, Fisher dollies, and Kino Flo LED lighting, students took on immersive crew roles under Sarossy’s direct mentorship. The dynamic collaboration bridged classroom and film set to offer a rare glimpse into professional cinematography from a master of the craft.
