From idea to reality: reunited classmates create thriving interior design business
Combining their entrepreneurial spirits and industry expertise, Interior Design alumni Bahar Zaeem and Shima Radfar joined forces to launch RZ Interiors, a creative design firm in Toronto specializing in contemporary interiors and celebrated for their innovative transformations of residential properties, boutique spaces, and large-scale developments.

A Decade of Combined Experience
Radfar always dreamed of launching her own business, while Zaeem, coming from a family of entrepreneurs, was eager to create something unique. Over a Saturday morning coffee, they shared their visions for the future. Little did they know that this casual chat would lead to the launch of their successful design firm nearly eight years later.
With a combined decade of experience in residential and hospitality design, the team at RZ Interiors brings a wealth of knowledge to every project. Since 2017, the firm’s portfolio has reflected a commitment to excellence through diverse projects in the Greater Toronto Area.

“To me, good design involves thoroughly studying the space and intricately capturing the unique architectural features of the home,” says Zaeem. “The objective is to not only enhance functionality and aesthetics but also to infuse the space with depth and visual intrigue,” adds Radfar.
